Online course. Webinars, independent study, individual and group assignments, a learning diary. Webinars are mandatory.
Further information
Experiential learning and society 5 ECTS aims to develop students’ understanding of the theoretical framework, foundations and principles of experiential learning and experiential and adventure education. The course focuses on current discussions and research, examining the meaning of and opportunities for experiential learning and adventure education. Course participants explore the relevance of experiential learning and adventure education in contemporary societies.
Target group:
The course is intended for both students and professionals in youth work, NGO work, education and schooling, rehabilitation, social work, and sports and physical education who wish to strengthen their theoretical and research and development competence in experiential learning and adventure education. Prior studies in community education or adventure education are not required, however degree studies in these fields are recommended and will provide useful background for the course.
