Introduction to speech-to-text interpreting (5cr)

Objective

Students will be able to:
• demonstrate knowledge of the diversity of the customer groups and work environments of speech-to-text interpreters
• identify and analyse the needs, objectives and expectations of the parties of interaction
• examine the practice and tasks of speech-to-text interpreters and discuss their observations
• identify team interpreting practices relating to speech-to-text interpreting
• demonstrate a command of the ten-finger system
• systematically develop their typing speed.
