AAC: Practical training

Objective

Students
- recognize means and methods of communication support in interaction situations
- familiarize themselves with environments where AAC is used
- can observe the actions of people working in the field of communication
- learn to notice communication initiatives expressed in different ways and to reciprocate them
- understand the diversity of AAC and the individual ways of communication
- manage familiar, simple every-day discussions using both unaided and aided AAC methods.

Content

Content
- Familiarizing with environments where AAC is used
- Familiarizing with the network of AAC professionals and their work
- Observing and practicing AAC methods in authentic interaction situations
- Practical training report
- Involvement of the practical training workplace in assessment

Qualifications

Prerequisite: Completed the other courses in the module (TUKO1-TUKO4).

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Hyväksytty: Opintojakson hyväksytty suorittaminen edellyttää, että opiskelija
• osoittaa saavuttaneensa opintojakson tavoitteet
• osallistuu harjoittelun ohjaus- ja purkutunneille
• on suorittanut harjoittelun ja kaikki niihin liittyvät tehtävät (lueteltu alla) hyväksytysti.

Harjoitteluun liittyvät tehtävät:

• Harjoittelusuunnitelma (hFormsilla) on hyväksytty
• Harjoittelusopimus on allekirjoitettu
• Harjoittelu on tehty määrämittaisena
• Harjoittelu on raportoitu ohjeen mukaisesti

Hylätty:
Opintojakson suoritus on hylätty, mikäli opiskelija
ei ole suorittanut opintojakson kaikkia tehtäviä eikä harjoittelua hyväksytysti
