Objective
After completing the course, the student will: know how place and space are cultural, technological and virtual phenomenarecognise the construction of physical, symbolic and cultural boundaries and their significance in human societiesbe able to analytically assess the relationship between global and local andunderstand the construction of space and place in the interaction of knowledge and power.
Content
This course draws from anthropological and ethnological research traditions to examine the relationships that tie humans to each other. The main themes are social groups, networks, kinship and family, ethnicity, nationalism, transnationalism and multispecies relations.
