Teaching methods
Online course. Webinars, independent study, individual and group assignments, a learning and/or development task. It is strongly recommended to attend the webinars.
Further information
Experiential learning and adventure education in pedagogical development 5 ECTS explores the delivery of experiential learning and adventure education in various professional and work settings and provides students with an opportunity to examine the scope and potential of these approaches. During the course, participants will develop their competence in pedagogical development work and reflection, and become familiar with current research and discussions around learning, competence, development, and growth.
Target group:
The course is intended for both students and professionals in the fields of education and schooling, youth work, NGO work, sports and physical education, rehabilitation, and social work. Prior studies in community education or adventure education are not required, however degree studies in these fields are recommended and will provide useful background for the course.
Prerequisites:
The online course is offered in English to foster an international learning environment. Participants should be willing to listen, read, write and speak English.
