Content scheduling
Hoodle will open one week before contact teaching starts and students can begin with some assignments already then. Students will start and complete the course in between 2.9.-20.10.2024.

Students
- Are familiar with the concepts of promoting agency and engagement and able to apply them
- Can conceptualize how environments, culture, communities, social structures and different services relate to an individual’s functional capacity and to the reinforcement of agency
- Understand the social significance of involvement and are familiar with a range of channels for social advocacy.

Teaching methods
Contact teaching on five days at campus. Students work individually with assignments and also have a larger group work as part of the course.

The course is 5 ects and equals approximately 135 hours of student work.

Satisfactory (1-2)
The student has a weak understanding of the basic concepts of strengthening agency and social engagement, and their possible application in practice is lacking. Their knowledge of contexts and channels of participation, and the societal significance of engagement is poor. There are clear deficiencies in completing the course within the given schedules and task assignments.

Good (3-4)
The student has a good understanding of the basic concepts of strengthening agency and social engagement and can apply them in practice when necessary. Their knowledge of contexts, and channels of participation, and the societal significance of engagement is generally at a good level. The course has been completed following the given instructions and adhering to schedules.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Excellent 5
The student has an excellent understanding of the basic concepts of strengthening agency and social engagement and can naturally apply them in practice, understanding the significance of their actions. Their knowledge of contexts, channels of participation, and the societal significance of engagement is at a high level.
The course has been completed following the given instructions and adhering to schedules.

The student has not passed all the assignments of the course or the assignments have not been returned within the agreed deadlines.
