Adventure Educator technical skills: Humak Rope work supervisor test (3cr)

Objective

Student:
- Demonstrate that he understands what are the work field and competencies of a rope work supervisor
- Master the construction of the top rope- and abseil station on the outdoor cliffs for routes of max. one rope length (max 30m)
- Master supervising top roping and abseiling on outdoor rock on a single pitch route with easy access
- Demonstrates how to solve the most common problem situations in top rope- and abseil stations
- Demonstrates the ability to make a safety plan and lesson plan for top rope climbing and abseiling activities on outdoor cliffs.

Content

The student prepares for the tests by doing at least 30 hours of top rope and abseiling practice. In addition, the student gets to know the test site and prepares a climbing safety plan and an instructor's hour plan for the tests.

Location and time

Program for 3 ECTS package

Logbook 50h is done during April-September 2025
Riskanalysis and Instructor lessonplan is done min 3 days in advance the test day
Test 18.9.2025 (extraday in case of bad weather 19.9.2025)
Place can be one of these: Leppävaara - urheilupuiston kalliosaari, Jaanankallio, Solvalla, Kauhala, Käärmekallio
